We’ve all heard about the Morphe×Jacklyn Hill Vault Collection controversy… Honestly, I don’t follow her, but I saw a few videos with ladies doing some cute looks and they also shared their thoughts on the collection… I read the reviews and took a few recommendations…so I thought why not grab one and see what’s up.
Morphe had a sale and I picked up a few holiday items and this palette…from all 4 palettes this was the best one for me.
There’s 3 other palettes from the vault collection…Bling Boss, Dark Magic and Armed and Gorgeous along with Ring The Alarm makes up the vault collection. I’ll be getting the remaining three palettes soon.
This packaging is super cute, sleek, and clean with a great confetti starburst with copper shades of stars, and circles gives you a clue to what palette you have.
Such a wonderful color selection, of warm tones that feels creamy, a little bit really does go a long way. Really excited for this palette and it didn’t disappoint. The variety of shades. It’s great having warm tones too play around with that’s not just brown. Making fall/ winter slay season.
Shades names as follows…
- Lolli (shimmering peach rosé)
- Rush (matte amber)
- On Camera (shimmering tropical gold)
- Boom (shimmering blushed bronze)
- Alert (matte deep ochre)
- Bomb Ass (gleaming hibiscus pink)
- Siren (shimmering plum)
- Mugshot (matte toasted almond)
- Framed (matte deep plum)
- Secret (matte roasted chestnut)
Check out the swatches below… there’s no primer or base used with the swatches…these shades looks awesome without a base and for the better part they are true to shade. Creamy too the touch and there’s some fallout, nothing that you can’t control.
Lolli, Rush, On Camera, Boom and Alert
Bomb Ass, Siren, Mugshot, Framed and Secret
Look created using the morphe×jaclynhill ring the alarm palette
This palette is unique in it’s own right. After having it for a month and using it multiple times, I can truly say that I love this palette. My only concerns about it is that some shades like Rush, Boom and Alert looks very similar as well as Siren and Framed when they are blended together. No issues of patchiness and I love that this palette is different from the other warm tone plaettes that’s out.
Overall, I’m impressed with this palette. The matt shadows can be bit of a mess if you’re heavy handed. Some shades you ave to build up to get the desired shade you want. While others don’t need anything but a light hand. While the variations in the Browns/oranges have made this a great fall color palette. The shimmer shadows aren’t bad, aren’t good either…doable. Lolli and Bad Ass are my favorites out of this palette. ❤️
Even though the price is great…$15 to be exact…sold out on morphe’s website, but you can get this and the whole vault collection at Ulta stores or online…I would definitely recommend this product
